The Briton outpaced Verstappen by just 0.003 seconds in a thrilling conclusion to their contest. Ricciardo’s reaction to Hamilton’s lap summed up the surprise across the grid. They’ve done a fantastic job,” added Hamilton, back on the front of the grid for the first time since the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in 2021. “I didn’t expect this, for us to be fighting for pole position here this weekend,” said a hoarse and emotional Hamilton, who had described his car as being “at its worst” on Friday. His success with a last-gasp lap was greeted with cheers by the crowd and ended defending double world champion Verstappen’s run of five straight poles for Red Bull. Having been loaned out to AlphaTauri for just 12 races, there is swirling speculation Ricciardo will be gunning to take Perez’s seat even earlier.ĭaniel Ricciardo saved his best reaction for Lewis Hamilton's pole-setting lap. Red Bull boss Christian Horner confirmed the blatantly obvious last week in saying Ricciardo’s endgoal is to take Perez’s seat when the Mexican driver’s contract expires at the end of 2024. It certainly didn’t help that Ricciardo’s highly-anticipated return to coincided with a Perez crash in practice. Perez snapped a run of five consecutive qualifying days where he failed to reach Q3, but his poor result compared to teammate Max Verstappen - who will start on the front row alongside Hamilton - has heaped more pressure on the seat he holds with the reigning world champions. Ricciardo’s effort was hailed by fans as Tsunoda qualified 17th and under-fire Sergio Perez – the man many want the Aussie to replace next – could only manage ninth in his Red Bull. It's a fun movie to see.A poster of absolute savagery displayed at the Hungarian Grand Prix has captured exactly what Daniel Ricciardo fans are saying as he made a mighty return to qualifying on Sunday morning. While there is a certain level of crudity throughout, the movie is generally lighthearted and innocent. A fast-movie plot also kept the movie moving along - something was always happening and there was never a dull moment. Even though most of them were one-dimensional, the dialog made them seem human and easy to relate to. No matter the scene, it was always fun to hear what the characters were going to say. It's a simple plot but the dialog is what makes this movie shine. When she decides to have the baby, she's not sure what her relationship with the father should be. The father-to-be is a good natured, pot-head slacker who has no money. The basic premise is simple: a young TV reporter celebrates a promotion by getting drunk and inadvertently pregnant. It reminds me of Superbad - another movie that I would never normally see, but one which wins you over by it's sheer (albeit crude) brilliance. The acting is great, the plot fast-paced, the characters believable and the dialog witty and clever. Although the subject matter wasn't really appealing to me, the critics and general audience reviews are right: this is a very well made movie.
